A heartfelt thank you to Doba István for not only nominating me as the first non-Hungarian artist to participate in the Zempléni Fesztivál (Aug. 9–19) but also for generously offering me his gallery space to showcase my latest Colours of Ulysses artworks.
István owns a beautifully preserved, disused synagogue in Tarcal, which he lovingly maintains and transforms into a gallery. In the height of Hungary’s hot, humid summer, its airy, light-filled space provided the perfect setting for my exhibition.
These photos are from the Meet the Artist afternoon—a fantastic turnout! A huge thanks to my husband, Orosz László, for translating my speech and audience questions from English to Hungarian.
Grateful for such a wonderful experience!
