This is Ice Dance. Every afternoon I walked just 1km to my mud and straw-walled art studio. She stands patiently waiting for the only Irish Hungarian family in the village to move in. I meandered through a winter wonderland of alpine-like houses, icicles and unsalted, slippery, residential roads. Having osteopenia of the spine, I walk slowly, almost a dance around the ever-changing icy patches. The thaw, the freeze, the thaw, a celebratory, grateful ice dance.
