“Listening to 80s pop when I painted this, I was giggling thinking: Let’s get perms and go to aerobics! Get the hairspray, we’re going to need it as we get transported back to a time that was all big hair, tight lycra, and fun pop! Carefree and fabulous. I don’t do aerobics (rather yoga) but this piece does, it is pure energy, 80s feel-good fun.”
